Consultation Services

Dr. Cates provides private consultation services to primary care practices with limited access to quality mental health care. In this capacity, clinics contracting with Dr. Cates have the opportunity to seek additional evaluations on complex psychiatric patients, and guidance on choosing and managing psychopharmacologic regimens.

Dr. Cates provides consultation services primarily to clinics in rural areas, where the nearest psychiatrist may be hours away. Services are provided via video telehealth, and consultation is offered on a case-by-case basis depending on need and availability. Fees depend upon the nature of the consultation.

Additionally, Dr. Cates provides affordable psychotherapeutic and clinical supervision services to a small number of other mental health clinicians, on a case-by-case basis depending on need and availability.
